Another Idea for Energy Conservation Minded Ithaca - Both for Summer and Winter
An Idea - To add another layer of community activities as an additional means to bring The Communication of Ithaca New York closer to becoming the International and National Cultural Magnet Destination City.

Canandaigua NY
- This popular past time activity will be offered every Sunday afternoon 1pm to 3pm, weather permitting, on the grounds of the Granger Homestead, 295 North Main Street, Canandaigua. The Sleigh Ride season usually begins about mid-January and continues until mid-March providing Mother Nature gives us adequate snow cover and frozen ground.

Experience the fun of yesteryear as you dash across the snow covered grounds and woods of the historic 1816 mansion and home of four generations of Granger family. Our horses will amuse and amaze you, as they pull the Homestead’s fully restored antique sleighs. Sleigh bells ring, as you listen to the laughter, all bundled up in a warm lap blanket. We offer hot chocolate following your adventure.

Due to the unpredictability of our weather, it is advised to call the Homestead (585)394-1472 on the weekends to listen to a recorded message about conditions and availability.

Adults $5, Children $3 (ages 4-12) and Children under age 4 Free – No reservations required.
